Established in 1957 at the base of the Santa Rosa Mountains, Eldorado Country Club is one of the desert's most storied private clubs. The course, originally designed by Lawrence Hughes and completely redesigned by Tom Fazio in 2003, hosted the 1959 Ryder Cup and seventeen editions of the Bob Hope Desert Classic. Five U.S. Presidents have held membership, including Dwight D. Eisenhower, who wintered in a cottage along the 11th fairway.
